-note hand thinning/spacing of fruit in 1997-98 Horticultural Protocol Addendum (11/19/97)

- Leaf Analysis- should be taken every August from each of the 5 replicate trees of Braeburn and

Golden Delicious. Send to Penn State (Save $2.50 by grinding samples to 40 mesh)

- rate bloom according to 1997-98 Horticultural Protocol Addendum (11/19/97)

- Change in Item 1 of Fruit Quality Subcommittee. - Report the COMPOSITE weight of fruit to the nearest gram, not INDIVIDUAL weight.

- contact D. Greene if interested in evaluating the sensory qualities of cultivars under test

- submit all data 1997 to R. McNew by February 1, 1997

- send photographs/slides of cvs. to S. Brown if you are interested in having these archived on CD-ROM

- work with D. Greene and R. McNew to prepare a data summary for the 1998 meeting
