Kip Graham and I attended the listening session last Friday in Highland, NY. I've attached a copy of the handout (NY Listening Session) that was distributed at the beginning of the meeting and the basis for the discussion. Also attached are our observations from the formal listening session along with observations from discussions prior to and after the formal listening session. Oftentimes those discussions yield much more information that the formal session and that certainly was the case here.

We would appreciate it if you would forward this information to the MFGA members along with encouraging them to attend the listening session this Friday in Goffstown, NH. With so many of our apple producers marketing all or a portion of their apple crops directly to consumers it is very important for Agralytica and RMA to hear firsthand the impacts, recommendations, etc., that direct marketers have concerning the apple policy. It was pretty evident that Agralytica and RMA have heard from wholesale apple producers at prior listening sessions! There is also an opportunity for apple producers unable to attend the upcoming listening session to contact Agralytica by email with any comments and that information is available on the bottom of the "Observations" attachment.

Thanks in advance and feel free to contact me with any questions! Tom
