Notice to United States of America citizens:
The IHC2018 organizing committee is expecting that the current visa problem between Turkey and USA will be solved soon. Nevertheless, if the problem does continue, and our colleagues from USA would not be able to travel to Istanbul, they will be able to withdraw their abstract, and their IHC2018 registration fees will be refunded in full until May 31, 2018 at the program finalization stage.
This offer valid for US registrants and only applies if the visa restriction is not lifted by May 31, 2018.
Regular cancellation policies apply in all other circumstances. Refund does not apply to ISHS membership dues or abstract submission fees.

Saffron known as Crocus sativus L. is very important geophyte and spread over Northern hemisphere up to 1000 meters from sea level especially Mediterranean basin (Greece, Spain, Italy, Turkey, France), Iran and India. It has been cultured since the ancient time due to its medicinal and aromatic properties. Stigmas of saffron has different usage in various industry (dye, food or beverages additive and pharmacology industry) because of its biochemical components (Crocin, safranal and picrocrosin). Dried stigmas of saffron is one of the most expensive spice due to odoriferous, coloring, and medicinal properties. As a matter of fact, value of one gram of saffron is nearly equivalent to the that of gold and its sale price is around 13.000 dollar per kg in the markets. The Symposium will bring together researchers, producers, academics, extension advisors, marketers to discuss and consider solutions to the problems related with saffron in the same platform. They will be able to network, learn and share their research learning's, challenges and opportunities.
