Peaches
The addition of foliar nutrients to peach sprays usually is not a standard practice as with apple
production. Foliar nutrient sprays in peach are used primarily to correct deficiencies. Most nutrient
deficiencies in peaches can be corrected by a proper soil management program utilizing annul leaf
analysis and soil tests. In north Jersey soils Magnesium is rarely deficient. We usually recommend
using high calcium lime only, on North Jersey orchard soils. Epsom salts can be used to supply
magnesium if deficient and will translocate throughout the plant, building up magnesium supplies in
the tree. While most North Jersey soils contain adequate amounts of magnesium, zinc is often
deficient. Zinc Chelate can be used when tests indicate zinc deficiency.

Foliar nutrients are best applied as a dilute spray -- 1x for maximum absorption
and effect.
